Been meaning to post about this for the past few days, sorry. I heard that there are rioters destroying mummies and artifacts, and in at least one instance, a "mob" formed to defend a museum or something?

Now THAT'S a style of fighting I can get behind! (Truly, I've thought about such a thing many, many times, never seen it actually happen before.....)

Total War games

As some of you may have seen in my Shoutbox, a while back I discovered the game Medieval: Total War. I've been enjoying it immensely. (I'm not much of a gamer at all, but when you get historical wargames into the mix, count me in!)

I picked up a discounted double pack at Target a while back, with Medieval 2: Total War and Rome: Total War. But what I see in the content rating is "Sexual themes". I've also heard that religious themes are present (what this entails I know not).

Since I just can't figure out how the heck you can get sex into a game that is merely about war (or is it?) and I can't find a single thing about it on the web, I'm curious as to what you guys would think about reviews. Not sure if I want to spend the time, but if NOBODY out there can answer this question, then perhaps a review from a Christian standpoint would be in order? I'm curious about the games, no duh, and am also wondering just how "bad" they could possibly get, at a T rating.

How about me wearing this?

I am very seriously considering purchasing this sweet little baby to add to my growing collection of man-gear. What do you all think? Can I sport this one? Too off or anything?

I know it would probably look a tad bit weird, but every day I care less and less about what people think about how I dress. I am consistently frustrated in my attempts for articles of clothing (that's a story for another day sometime), and if I have to be this unique, then I'll be this unique! (Now granted this is purely for my own pleasure and isn't exactly a necessary article of attire. :-D)

Then again, does it really matter much anymore? I wear only black, carry a man bag, wear uncommon jackets (And one day, one day, I will have my own trench!), and since Christmas have been sporting AbbyShot's Mad Max gloves (Hey, my fingers get cold!...or at least that's how my excuse goes.). One day I will also buy me some Matrix repro sunglasses, or at least something very similar (or if I get rich, then the Mad Max jacket, and the Terminator jacket, oh and those Battlestar Galactica boots, hey and whatever happened to that Cleric Coat?...). I already confuse people, and I don't give a flying hoot about it. What's a little more? I don't know about you, but these cookie cutter males who all either dress like punks, slobs, or girls aren't my cup of mead. That's me alright, mixin' stuff up!

Second, this is more terribly improper behavior from Obama. (I guess welcoming foreign communist enemies and holding lavish dinners for them--while we foot the bill, of course--is a good idea to our "fearless leader"?)

What all those Democrats have been doing since the election

Here's a thought for you all today.

See, maybe it's me. Maybe it's cause I was sick and delirious, maybe not. I don't know. But the past few days I've been wondering, with all the displaced Democrats from the November election, what have they all been doing with their time of late? It's been a while, certainly they have a good routine going by now, right? Are they working alone ? together? On a specific project? What?

So, with all my political blogging, I figured I'd be a complete failure if I couldn't at least figure something as simple as this out. Fear not! I have succeeded! It's weird, though, it appears that no other conservative source, nay, no source anywhere, has really published anything on this in such a way as to realize it for what it really is.

So, ladies and gentleman, here it is from me first. This is what the poor leftist souls have been doing to drown out their sorrows! Take a close look at this; you will see many of them present, most of them, in fact.

Well, whether or not anyone noticed, my absence the past near-week was due to a crazy virus that hit me. Weird little bugger, not only was it the whole "sick thing" it was also horrendously painful. Keep away from it if you can, kiddies!

No, seriously, he really is.

Having this guy in that much danger makes me nervous. On the other hand, I wish I was right there with him, exploring the jungle! (C'mon, how many people get to go to the Amazon for crying out loud?) Please pray for their success, and, most importantly, the safety of each and every one of them (e.g. many of their party have already fallen ill).

LEGO Ninjago and Pharaoh's Quest

A while back I mentioned these up-and-coming themes from LEGO. Well, they're out and available for sale now, I can't get too excited about them.

Similar to the first Adventurers theme and the Ninja theme of 1998, LEGO's new Ninjago and Pharaoh's Quest are a dissappointment to me.

I loved all of the Adventurers sets when I was a kid, the later Dino Island theme being my favorite LEGO sets of all time up until that point. I didn't get on the Ninja wagon until coming out of my dark ages (by then I was an Asian nut anyways), although I still don't own any of the sets.

So this new Ninja theme is mixed with undead skeletons and has ridiculous sets (What is this, Castle '07 and KK2 meets Japan?). I must admit that I'm insanely happy to finally have nunchuks and shuriken, but even those could have been better designed. The bone pieces are quite welcome, however. As much as I love all things like this, you'd think I would have liked these more...sorry, but this is just a bad theme, TLC.

As to the Egypt theme, that one is fairly poor as well, just a ripoff of the Johnny Thunder Adventurers really. Still, it has some nice parts and isn't as bad as Ninjago.

All in all, I like some of the pieces that we've gotten from these two themes. Beyond that, I'm not all that interested. Sorry TLC, this time you just didn't pull it off for me.
