Hehe, I'm chilled to the bone ;)

A curious note is that I would have had no idea this day existed if I hadn't read it here, which is kind of strange considering that I live in a Lutheran country...

Really? Well, how interesting....

How long have you been reading my blog? This isn't the first year I posted about Reformation Day is why I'm asking....

Well, I was aware of it this time, since I've read it on your blog before. But your blog was definitely the first place I heard of it, whichever year it was.

I think a reason could be that many Americans came to the America in the first place to escape religious oppression, and that the US has always been kind of a melting pot of lots of different religious, and therefore this kind of day could be more meaningful, while in Sweden there used to be a state Lutheran church which had quite a total hegemony (back in the 17th century I think the Swedish state even looked upon itself as some kind of the "Defender of the Protestant Faith" in the world), at least until the middle 19th century, and therefore celebrating and stating that you're Lutheran became kind of obsolete. Like how we barely at all celebrate our National Day, since Sweden hasn't really been under serious threat, or involved in wars in its vicinity for about 200 years...
