A Manly Muslim is Persecuted

Great. This is just great.

Defending your family against men who threaten to murder them is now a "very violent revenge attack on a defenceless man."

Britain today, America...tomorrow?

Gee, since when did self defense become "taking the law into your own hands" ???

If this is meant to set a precedent, I suppose next time the innocent inhabitants should just stand back, warn the burglars about any sharp objects they could stub their widdle toes on, and offer themselves up to be bound, putting up no resistance.

After all, we wouldn't any more "inexcusable" acts perpetrated?

That guy should be getting a medal, not jail time!!!! This is utterly disgusting. I don't care what anybody says.

This is America Today

Even in Utah where our stand the ground laws are very flexible what this guy did was beyond that and would have been prosecuted.(Convicted is a different story with our jury system)

We have a right and an obligation to protect our home, family, and self. However there is a very fine line between self defense and criminal assault.

Reading the whole news article (and subsequent articles) the victim was safe. The intruders were fleeing. The victims then chased them down and beat the intruders skull in. At that point the victims crossed the line.

It's just a reminder (especially those of us that carry firearms) that we need to start each day getting mentally prepared to defend ourselves. So if we do we know not to cross that line.

NC: Completely understand your POV and agree, you NEVER cross the line. OTOH, I felt that it was unclear as to if this was true or not, and to be honest I'm not sure I actually believe that part of the story....
